Sign in hereThe Employment Authorization Document (EAD) Form I-765 is a legal work permit issued by the USCIS. The EAD Card allows foreign nationals to work anywhere in the United States of America.
Eligibility test
Foreign nationals who are temporarily residing in the U.S. and are eligible to work may file an application for employment. The EAD card is issued for a specific period of time that directly depends on the applicant’s immigration status. Employers do not need to file a nonimmigrant worker petition if the foreign national has already obtained the EAD card.
Important: If you have received work authorization for a specific employer and/or a private business, you will not be required to obtain the EAD card.
