USCIS will periodically update its immigration forms. Updates usually include new questions, categories, or even removing some, updating additional documentation or requiring new information. It is crucial that applicants submit the correct version of a form along with their application package. When filing an immigration application, it is paramount always to use the latest version of each form.
The following is a comprised list of all the forms that were updated in May 2017, as well as the correct versions you should send when filing an application.
> Form I-829, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status Form I-829, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status is used by conditional permanent residents who obtained status through entrepreneurship and want to remove the conditions of their residence.
New edition dated 04/21/17. Starting 07/24/2017, only the 04/17/17 edition will be accepted. Until then, you can use the 05/07/15 edition.
> Form G-639, Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act Request Form G-639, Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act Request, is used by permanent residents who want to apply for U.S. citizenship and need to request an exception to the English and civics testing requirements for naturalization because of physical or developmental disability or mental impairment.
New edition dated 04/17/17. Starting 07/24/2017, only the 04/17/17 edition will be accepted. Until then, you can use the 03/31/15 edition.
> Form I-612, Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement (under Section 212(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended) Form I-612, Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement (under Section 212(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended): J-1 and J-2 visas holders and their families use this form to apply for a waiver of the two-year foreign residence requirement.
New edition dated 04/24/17. Starting 07/24/2017, only the 04/24/17 edition will be accepted. Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition.
>Form I-929, Petition for Qualifying Family Member of a U-1 Nonimmigrant Form I-929, Petition for Qualifying Family Member of a U-1 Nonimmigrant is used by nonimmigrants to request immigration benefits on behalf of a family member who never held U nonimmigrant status.

The date shown reflects the date that particular form was last updated, or its edition date. To know if you are filing the correct form, check the edition date at the bottom.
